Charter fishing in Folly Beach and Charleston waters proved to hold up well despite last weeks extreme tides. No doubt our warmer than usual “winter” weather helped out as schools of reds happily basked in the sun baked flats. These fish eagerly ate artificials, mud minnows and cut bait as anglers came out in droves to enjoy the mild temperatures. We fished out in the open most of the time concentrating on main creek points and flats when conditions allowed. As the tide moved out we stayed shallow and fished current edges to get in front of the fish that would be coming by. The next two weeks the tides will begin to moderate and the fish will likely move less and be easier to find. It’s a great time to get on the water with me. Having said that book a trip and take a look at some of this past weeks best catches!
