Fishing in Charleston was good last week as big schools of Redfish prowled the flats for something to eat. We caught them on soft plastic baits rigged with light jig heads and on cut and live bait. Mullet seemed to have an advantage over crab and live mud minnows this week but that could change any minute so if you are heading out make sure you have a little bit of everything with you. The trout bite is still kicking as warmer than normal waters keep some bait inshore. We caught ours on mud minnows, DOA shrimp and Z-Man Streakz’s in the 3.75 inch size. The week looks mild and the fishing has been good. Give me a call to get booked on some great upcoming tides! To finish this off here is Matt with last weeks largest Red, this stud went over 30 inches!
