Charter fishing in Charleston and Folly Beach fishing charters proved that Spring is indeed just around the corner this week. With warming waters the Charter fishing in Charleston was much improved and we have been able to put together solid catches on most days. We have been Charter fishing in Folly Beach for Redfish and Trout inshore and when conditions allow it a quick trip out for some deep sea fishing has paid off well with good catches of Black Drum, Sheepshead and Black Sea Bass. Charter fishing in Charleston found us targeting big schools of Redfish as they became more active with the warming waters. Isle of Palms fishing Charters were able to target Trout along with Redfish easily. Deep Sea fishing in Charleston has been great as some nice calm seas let us run out to do some reef fishing. There was plenty of action as Snapper, Black Sea Bass, Black Drum and the occasional big Redfish and Shark came on board. It was a good feeling to see a variety of fish coming over the rail again. A few times last week we had some very aggressive schools of reds to ourselves, it seemed no matter how many we caught each time the fish came through we would get another double hook-up. I fished yesterday and found water at the 60 degree mark and enough mullet to throw a net on. And you know what that means! It’s simply about to bust wide open here in Charleston. My fishing charters caught fish on artificials like Z-Man and DOA, and all the usual cut and live baits. Mud minnows fished on 1/8 oz jigs were slammed consistently as were shrimp under corks. So if you have not already booked a trip it’s time to get on the schedule for some great fishing! If you would like to join me give me a call to set up your trip. We can get it done for you!
